Cohen is one.  ONE!  I can’t believe it!  Like his uncle says – “How is that possible?  He was just born a couple weeks ago!”  I agree.  It seems like just a little while ago I met Cohen in the hospital and snapped a few shots of him for his proud parents.  Laurie is one of my oldest and dearest friends, so, as usual, it was a blast hanging out together.  We spent a GORGEOUS late summer morning tromping around Denver’s City Park, watching Cohen point to everything – yes, everything – that was interesting to him.  Dogs.  Bikers.  Geese.  The Lake.  So fun!

Seriously, check out his smile.  He’s going to be one of those kids you can’t say no to when he smiles.  I just melt!

These guys are so fun – and one of the fun, creative, original things they do are their shadow pictures.  Everywhere they go on vacation or if they are at a super cool place or during a special event, they take a picture of their shadows.  So, today, they asked me to take one of all three of them.  Since one of them is always taking the picture, they don’t really have one of all three of them with the little guy.  (They have TONS of the two of them, though – I’ve seen them!)  How cute is that little shadow in the middle?!!

And, it would not have been a complete photo shoot for Cohen with out something from Red Sox Nation.  Before Cohen was a twinkle in the eye, his parents lived in Boston, and, well, I guess if you lived in Boston, you understand.  Thus, the tiny Boston Red Sox cap.  Unreal cute!

Thanks, guys!  Always a treat to document your family!

Love Love Love them…as always!! Thanks for some more amazing photos!

This session was awesome.  There is no other way to describe it.  Getting to hang out with sweet, fun, loving Crystal and Josh as they goofed around with each other was good enough.  Add to that watching an approaching Colorado thunderstorm on top of a hill and all the cool clouds and lighting that come with it.  And we started it all at Jackass Hill Park in Littleton, Colorado.  Yup, that’s right….

Take a look!

This was us booking it out of there and off the open hill as the storm, and lightning, had REALLY arrived – we couldn’t pretend we didn’t notice any longer!

Thanks, guys!  I can’t wait to meet your new baby girl!

I think the biggest blessing to me in being a photographer is getting the privilege to be a part of people’s lives and walk with them as they experience some of life’s greatest moments – even the greatest moments just playing in the park together.  This photo session was a prime example of this privilege, as I was able to experience the rededication of an inspiring marriage after 50 years together.  Bringing together the most important and influential people in their lives to share the occasion with, Don and Dottie rededicated their marriage to God.  And then they partied afterwards!  It was a party complete with pie, cake, and ice cream and gelato from Glacier Ice Cream in Boulder.  I was honored to document it all for them.

There is a picture just like this taken earlier in their marriage hanging in their bedroom of the two of them walking hand in hand down railroad tracks together.  Don showed me after I took this one below.  Neat.

I just love how much they still play and have fun with each other.

This session was a tribute to summer fun!  We started with baby brother who was all grins and giggles and then I got a wonderful presentation of each favorite book in the book collection.  Then we moved on to the park – across the street, awesome! – and played in puddles and raced the trike.  Reading books, playing in puddles, and riding bikes – sounds like summer fun to me!  Thanks, guys, can’t wait for the whole family session this fall!

What, you may ask is a 4G reunion?  Four generations, of course!  All came together at the cabin in B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Lake George, Colorado, and I got to go meet up with them and document the event.  Adding to the fun for me was that Brian got to come with me and be my assistant 🙂 since one of the “boys” is a good friend of his!  It was a special time as families from Louisiana, Colorado, and Oklahoma came together before another family shipped out to Africa!  It was a special time for them and us.  Thanks for including us!
