These beautiful people are special friends and always such a joy to be around.  They will very soon welcome a new little girl to their family.  Lucky girl!  We had a ton of fun together, playing in the snow and grass, and despite our session being in the middle of winter, we found lots of beautiful locations.  Thanks for your friendship and for a VERY fun afternoon!

Ooooo… these gorgeous blue eyes!

LOVE the tenderness…

Yummy afternoon light:

This session was a complete honor and an absolute blast!  Two wonderful friends of mine brought her family with them to this session: her mom and her sister and her sister’s family.  Oh, yeah and their dogs, which are definitely included in my friends’ immediate family.  We enjoyed the weather, yet again – I feel like we are pushing our luck here in Colorado this fall, it’s November after all – and explored the ever amazing place that is Red Rocks.  You guys ALL blessed me this day!  Thanks for everything and especially for trusting me with this moment to document your family, your love, and your fun together.

One day before Halloween, we decided to head over to the pumpkin patch and enjoy the farm!  The pumpkins were a favorite prop for the three boys and we had a ton of fun in the beautiful late afternoon sun.  I had the pleasure of creating the holiday portraits for this family last year, and I can’t believe how much more grown up all three of the boys are!  Thanks again for a wonderful time with your wonderful family!  Let’s do it again next year!

Wanna know one of the coolest things clients do for me?  They teach me.  I learn so much from all you guys.  When Corey called, he was so excited about this place called Daniels Park in Castle Pines, Colorado.  I said I’d never heard of it and he was shocked…. shocked!  He said I’d fall in love.  He was right.  This place has it all for a photographer:  views of the Rocky Mountains, big boulders for kids to climb and hide behind, rock buildings to pose in front of and pretend we were doing a photo shoot for an album cover, and of course, buffalos.  Though we didn’t get a pic with the buffalo, we did get the album cover….

Nice views, right?

I love the simple joys of throwing leaves and how happy it makes you!

What a gorgeous family……

I think she might be an intern of mine someday…..  she is so good with that camera!

LOVE this face….
