When Brian called me and said that he and his family were coming in from out of town and they would like to set up a photo session with me during their time in Colorado I was thrilled. That they would want to spend time and money during their family vacation with me creating photos was a huge honor, and I was excited to plan a session for them that would take advantage of the best that the Colorado front range had to offer. Enter Chautauqua and the Flatirons… It’s kind of hard to beat the Flatirons as a backdrop, and we couldn’t have had a better time just walking the trails on a gorgeous summer day. Laughing…. This family does a lot of laughing together! I’m always a sucker for the eyes and this little sweetheart melted my heart with her beautiful eyes. So pretty! This little guy was fun in a fast package. It’s really hard to beat the Flatirons… or Colorado for that matter! 🙂
Lane and Brandon were so fun to shoot for and I had the privilege of working with super talented Kelly Hayzlett of Hayzlett Photography for this wedding. Beautiful, beautiful day and a special time with a special family.
Anna and I have been friends since freshman year of college so it was of course an honor to take portraits of her kids. I’ve known these two since practically the day they were each born. They have such personalities and we had so much fun laughing and playing in the sunshine.
The love and snuggles came naturally. As always.
The picture below is one of Anna and my favorites. It’s just SO much their personality. This is what Anna wrote on Facebook: “THis might actually be my favorite shot – NOT because it is the nicest picture of the 2 of them, but because Christine McKee Photography actual got what THEY are…..Lukas ticked at some little thing Adelaine did (like talk incessantly or boss him around) and her just laughing and still loving him just as surely as ever…and still talking…and bossing him around.” *smile* I was having them doing lots of hand holding and hugging to get their heads close together, like in the pics above, and I knew I had a small window before the arms around each other turned to annoyance, as it would for many siblings. And sure enough…. Classic. 🙂
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Megan is one of my dearest friends, so it was such a pleasure to play with her family and document this special time with her young kiddos for her! Thanks and love as always, Megan!
One of my favorite things is building relationships – no… friendships – with clients, and getting to photograph them on a regular basis. To see them grow up. To document their milestones. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside to see how they’ve changed and grown and then to capture that fleeting time in pictures for them.
This gorgeous family has trusted me with their maternity session, newborn session, and now I have the privilege (and it was a BLAST!) to document their baby girl at 6 months old! 6 months?! Really?! Time sure does fly! Congratulations, you guys, she is a beauty and quite the charmer.
The “props” were a special treat, too: Mom made the tutu with her mom and found the hat at a specialty store online. So great, don’t you think?!!
